my early wonders*

The moment when I first wake up every morning, I tell myself: “today will be that day”, no matter how weary and dreary I may feel. I silent up the inside as open the door out to the real world but within me is the certainty that during this day that lies before me it could happen. Never has it happened but it matters not a jot because I know one day I’ll smile and say: "It was today".
